The Brockhampton Estate is located on the edge of Bringsty Common near the town of Bromyard in Herefordshire. The timber framed manor house dates back to the 14th century, is surrounded by a moat and is entered by a gatehouse at the front of the house. It is surrounded by 1,000 acres of farm and parkland and 700 acres of woodland. Brockhampton Estate was bequeathed to the National Trust in 1946 by Colonel John Lutley, in whose family it had been for more than twenty generations.
