The three story house in front of the Cathedral was demolished in the mid 1930s. The building on the right is part of the Residence Hotel, demolished in the 1960s.

The hut on the left was one of two, used as a tea hut and to store feed for the horses that worked the horse drawn cabs. The other was in King Street. One burnt down while in use, the other tossed into a skip only a few years ago. Disgraceful.
